Software Defined Smart SFP
Software Defined Smart SFP leverages the high performance ARM processor to deliver an intelligent network appliance for a wide range of industries including networking, telecommunications, monitoring, maintenance and security.
Smart SFP is optimized for Software Defined implementations by leveraging the direct connection of network interfaces to CPU, which allowing all network traffic to be managed by software for the highest levels of security and quality of service, enabling new service upgrades.
Support of Data Plane Development Kit (DPDK) greatly boosts packet processing performance and throughput to improve data plane performance.
Smart SFP is designed for the low-cost and high-volume market. It’s easily pluggable into SFP ports of switches and routers. It provides significant OpEx savings by eliminating additional power, space and cabling costs.
