The module supports RS-232 data transmission over IP networks and can be used for transmitting serial data or as an interface gateway in case of remote access to serial devices.

Smart SFP provides easy and reliable serial to Ethernet connectivity for industrial automation applications. It can connect any serial device to an Ethernet network. To ensure compatibility with network software, it supports a variety of operating modes, including TCP server, TCP client and UDP.

With support of the IEC 60870-5-101 protocol widely used in the power industry and its tiny footprint, the module is a perfect solution for upgrading legacy SCADA networks and organizing their transport over modern IP networks.
