Customer story. PON monitoring.
Goal – to reduce the time of troubleshooting in the last mile of the PON network. The size of the network is more than 100 sites within a city, each site has more than 40+ PON lines.
Solution – Smart SFP OTDR module is installed in a free SFP slot of OLT at each site. When a fault is detected, the engineer on duty reconnects the fiber to the OTDR module for diagnostics.
